There are opportunities throughout the year for volunteers to assist the Education Services Staff with indoor special events and programs. Volunteers are needed on an ongoing basis to assist with school field trips, outreach programs to classrooms, program materials preparation. Volunteers with an interest in leading a program for children and their families once a month or more often are invited to learn more about the Saturday afternoon Lost Valley Ventures program.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age 14; a registered District volunteer; physically capable of carrying out the duties of the position; responsible, reliable and available at the times required by the position.
EXPERIENCE: None. Must enjoy working with the public and be willing to take direction from the lead educator or supervisor.
TIME COMMITMENT/SCHEDULE: Flexible opportunities exist weekdays, evenings and weekends year-round. Attendance at Quarterly Gatherings four evenings a year is encouraged to provide volunteers with an occasion to socialize, sign up to volunteer for upcoming programs, and receive special training or enjoy a feature presentation.
LOCATION: Prairieview Education Center, Crystal Lake or Lost Valley Visitor Center in Glacial Park, Ringwood
Reception and Office
