The Planning Offices are housed within Brookdale Administrative Offices in Woodstock. The Department has an extensive knowledge base of natural resource and public open space planning and design to envelop all 33 District sites and over 25,000 acres of conservation land. The primary focus of the Planning staff continues to be integrating decades old existing site infrastructure into more holistic plans that conserve resources and reduce maintenance throughout the life of the conservation area.
The Department prepares and utilizes Master Plans to guide the logical development, use, management and acquisition of District lands and resources. Execution of the Master Plans is another primary responsibility of the Department of which involves preparations of design plans and specifications for construction projects. The Planning Department manages these capital improvement projects from beginning phases: engineering; cost estimating; permitting and prioritizing; to final phases: directly overseeing all aspects of construction.
Visit our Project Updates page for information on recently completed master plans, recently opened sites and ongoing construction projects.
