Reserved marsh zones; open field zones: Applicants drawn in the lottery will be assigned a marsh hunting opportunity. This also allows them to hunt throughout the season at various field hunting sites on a first come first served basis. There are no reserved field hunting sites.
Applications: Waterfowl Hunting applicants may apply for any or all of the weeks offered at any of the designated marsh hunting sites. Applicants may list up to five (5) partners on their application. An applicant’s name may only appear on one application. The exception to this is a youth hunter who may apply for both the youth hunt and the regular season hunt. Duplicate applications will not be accepted. Once an application is submitted, no additional participants may be added to the group.
Participant Selection: Participants will be selected through a lottery. Those not selected in this year’s lottery will have preference in next year’s lottery.
Field hunting only: Although there are no reserved field hunting opportunities, if a group does not want to marsh hunt or is not chosen in the marsh hunting lottery, that group can choose to field hunt at the open sites. The cost is the same as for a marsh hunting opportunity.
