Youth Groups

Youth group leaders can take advantage of a wide variety of free learning and service opportunities appropriate for all ages. Perhaps your group is looking to take part in a service project or staff-guided program, or is looking for ways to accomplish requirements for a specific patch or badge.

Staff Guided Programs
Staff-guided programs are free for McHenry County groups and a minimum attendance of 12 children is  required. We typically schedule programs after school, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, there is some flexibility for evening and weekend hours.

Email Education@MCCDistrict.org or call (815) 479-5779 for additional information or to schedule a program.

Service Projects
Interested in a service project? Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at (815) 338-6223 x1201.

Outdoor Safety Programs
Our police department also offers a program on outdoor safety. Contact them at (815) 338-6223 x1210 or at Police@MCCDistrict.org to schedule a program or for more information. The program is about one hour and can focus on several topics including parks, water, fire, boats, plants, animals, and biking. The program can be booked on one of our sites or at your meeting space. This program is appropriate for grades 1-12 with a max of 30 children.
