Educational Loan Materials
We offer a variety of materials you can borrow for use offsite or while you visit. Materials are free to use and appropriate for teachers, families, and youth group leaders seeking curriculum supplements, family activities, or assistance with badge requirements. Water Quality Monitoring Kits
For grades 4-12. Kits are tailored to meet the needs of your group and may contain reference materials, curriculum guides, water quality monitoring manuals, test kits, and equipment for biological monitoring. Pick up at the Lost Valley Visitor Center. Reserve at least two weeks in advance.
Trail Pack/All Ages (Lost Valley Visitor Center & Prairieview Education Center)
Check out a pack filled with field guides, equipment and activities to do on the trail.
Map and Compass Pack (Prairieview Education Center)
The pack is used on a designated trail and contains map and compass activities and instructions. There are supplies for up to 24 participants. One adult for every four children recommended.
Geocaching Pack (Prairieview Education Center)
The pack is used on a designated trail and contains two GPS units, scavenger hunt worksheets and instructions. Two or three people per GPS unit and one adult for every four children recommended.
Field Trip Pack/Grades PreK-3 (Prairieview Education Center)
This pack contains items to assist early childhood students explore nature. Hands-on equipment encourages self-initiated learning. Also included are ideas for incorporating natural resource activities into class lessons.
